Caitlin Bailey is a wildlife cinematographer based in San Antonio, Texas. She holds a MFA in Science and Natural History Filmmaking from Montana State University and a B.S. in Animal Biology from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
Caitlin joined the GFOE team in 2016 and has sailed on both the NOAA Ship Okeanos Explorer and the USCGC Healy. Caitlin is also a National Geographic Explorer. She was the inaugural participant in National Geographic Society’s Second Assistant Program where she worked with National Geographic photographer David Liittschwager to photograph plankton and microplastics in Hawaii. She also completed an Early Career Grant from National Geographic Society and is currently participating in National Geographic’s Field Ready Program.
